Use of Effective Sentences in the OPINION Column in the November Edition of Padang Ekspress Newspapers

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effective sentence forms in the opinion column of the November Edition of the Padang Ekspress Newspaper. Opinions in the Padang Ekspress Newspaper are published every day. In this study, the opinions taken to be used as data were opinions published in the first week of November. The sentences used in the opinion column of the Padang Ekspress Newspaper tend to be effective, this can be seen in terms of content and language. This type of research is research using descriptive methods.
