Sociolinguistic Study of Addressing Terms and Affixes In Tere Liye’s Novel Sagaras

Addressing terms and affixes are two aspects that are always contained in every communicating language. Commonly, addressing terms are used to call someone and affixes turn basic words so it has an advanced meaning to succeed the communication, between people. Learning addressing terms and affixes through Indonesian literature has figured out how many variations of addressing terms, and the affixes with the culture. This paper was conducted by collecting the data by reading the novel book written by TERE LIYE entitled: “SagaraS”, using descriptive qualitative method. As a result, the writer has found 1387 various addressing terms and 1641 and more affixes. To help readers get to understand the writer has displayed examples with descriptions of each illustration served. The result also shows a contractive meaning of every affix, even though it is the same prefix or suffix. This research is meant to show the variety of addressing terms and affixes from the Indonesian point of view. This paper is not the first research describing addressing terms and affixes, surely readers will learn something.

Code-switching is a common event of switching from one language to another. This research is conducted with the purpose of studying code-switching sequences in the movie ‘Encanto’. The methods of research that are used in this study are data collecting and descriptive analysis. The result reveals that the movie consists of many code-switching between the language English and Spanish. There are three types of code-switching that appeared in the movie; tag-switching, intersentential switching, and intrasentential switching. The most frequently used type is intrasentential switching which is 84,61% compared to tag and intersentential switching which only have 9,25% and 6,25% respectively

Racial discrimination is a social phenomenon that is rooted in socio-psychological processes related to social cognition, group dynamics, and socialization among ordinary people. Seno Gumira Ajidarma's 2014 short story "Clara" explores the pervasive and widespread nature of racial prejudice and its disastrous effects on modern society. The story reveals the intricacies of discrimination that Clara experiences, ranging from unintentional slights to ingrained prejudices that affect the course of her life. This study employs Pieterse and Powell's (2016) postcolonial theory to identify examples of racism in the novel using descriptive and content analysis. In the final analysis, the writer aims not only to illuminate the deepest aspects of human nature and inspire us to take a more proactive, understanding, and empathic approach to combating racism, but also to draw parallels to the broader context of Indonesia and the world.

English language skills are mostly known as listening, speaking, reading and writing (LSRW). It is a basic learning on English language where it is toughly believed that the knowledge and incessant practice can help in developing the competence of a learner. English language is important to any part of people daily lives and any specific purposes. It is shown by usage of English language on school subject, communication to other people and demand for business requirements. In most academic institution, they will assign English proficiency test for students as a measurement on how fluent college students using English language. It is also used as a requirement for seventh semester students to conduct their thesis examination. Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) has a language center which implement field of language learning and service development which is called UIB Center of Language and Culture (UCLC). English Enrichment Program is one of the programs held by UIB English Language Center to facilitate UIB students or public on boosting Language skills and as a supporting system with international quality of university on language and culture services. This research mainly aims to find out does the English Enrichment Program effectively improve students’ English performance skills. It can be observed through observation in the classroom on students’ perspective about in what extent does attending English enrichment program result in improving English language skills on students in UIB. Students will also be examined to know their perspective upon joining English Enrichment Program, is it helpful for students to achieve their goal or otherwise. All of this observation will be supported by using questionnaire and interview to clarify and answer the research question of this study

Teachers primarily ask questions in an EFL classroom to measure their students' comprehension and stimulate their curiosity. Teachers can ask a wide variety of questions. Every question has a unique impact on the degree of thinking of the students. The goal of this study was to examine the most common questions that teachers in SMPN Kota Padang's EFL classroom asked. This study is descriptive in design. It involved observing a subject and documenting their behavior, as well as using textual material from Geschool that was unchanged in any approach. The 18 teachers who were chosen for this study's subjects were drawn at random from six different schools. Written questionnaires from Geschool and video recordings of classroom observations served as the data gathering methods. The study's conclusions show that remembering (C1), which accounts for 155 questions (or 40.15 percent of all questions) and represents the lowest level of thinking in the cognitive domain, is the most frequently asked type of question by teachers in EFL classroom activities in SMPN Kota Padang.

The background of this research is that linguistics turns out to be intertwined with things outside the language itself. The creative industry designs typical Karawang T-shirts. Then, the researcher combines linguistics to analyze the T-shirt design of the Heuras Genggerong Karawang T-shirt manufacturer. The importance of this research is to find out the type of meaning of the Heuras Genggerong T-shirt design. Examples of some designs from Heuras Genggerong include several tourist attractions in Karawang, special event in Karawang, and social condition in Karawang, totaling 10 T-shirt designs. The researcher analyzed the design of these T-shirts by downloading from the official Instagram account of @distro_heuras_genggerong, by utilizing the theory of types of meaning. The objectives of this study is to find out the relationship between the utilization of type of meaning theory in T-shirt design. The method of this research is descriptive analysis. The findings this research analyzed the design of these T-shirts by downloading from the official Instagram account of @distro_heuras_genggerong, by utilizing the theory of types of meaning. The conclusion of this research is that the type of meaning theory contained in the design of Heuras Genggerong T-shirts can be analyzed using the theory of types of meaning.

English instruction has been significantly impacted by the effects of globalization, and as an international language, English ought to be understood by all. How well teachers communicate and engage with their students are key factors in their effectiveness as educators. Classroom interaction is essential in classroom activities that employ a communicative approach or classroom interaction. Ensuring classroom discussions is a key factor in enhancing the effectiveness of instruction. This research focuses on exploring the significance of interaction within the classroom setting for English teaching and learning. The objective is to identify various activities that promote interaction among learners. This study adopts a library research approach, where data exclusively sourced from books and academic journal articles contributes to the understanding of the study's topic. Following the collection of relevant sources, the researcher documented all pertinent findings derived from the selected materials and the extent to which classroom events are co-constructed by the teacher and students will determine the significance of those events for students. Classroom interaction can have a number of benefits, such as helping students build their language store, improving their communication skills, boosting their confidence, and fortifying their relationships with others. Following seven types of activities that engage learners in interaction, namely: question-and-answer sessions, dialogues and role-plays, matching activities, communication strategies, visual aids such as pictures, puzzles and problems, discussions and decision-making exercises, and the write-pair-switch technique, along with cooperative learning methods. The findings of this research will encourage students to participate more actively in English interactions with their peers.

Philosophy explores questions about something. The research was carried out in depth in order to achieve the goal of human welfare. 21st century skills are skills needed by humans to face the digital era 5.0. Language learning that is carried out focuses on students. The aim is to guide students to master critical thinking skills, metacognition, problem solving, as well as communication skills, information literacy, collaboration, innovation, and creativity. The achievement of these skills cannot be separated from the role of philosophy in its formulation. There are philosophical schools that have the most influence on the attainment of 21st Century skills. This study uses the content analysis method of journal articles published in 2020-2022. The results of studies on these articles found the conclusion that the philosophical school that has the most influence on the attainment of 21st century skills is progressivism. This school assumes that thinking by using intelligence is an important point in education. This philosophical school is also the basis for the Indonesian government in compiling an 'Merdeka Belajar' curriculum.

In this paper, we will analyze the use of vulgar language as a pragmatic form on Garit Dewana's YouTube channel. The research is aimed at finding out the reasons why these vulgar/taboo words can be fun and interesting among today's millennial teenagers, especially game YouTubers in Indonesia. In this research, 8 root words, 2 phrases and 1 sentence were found, with each swear word having a different usage, and the meanings that researchers found were refrential meaning, emotive meaning, and poetic meaning. The researchers found that these vulgar words can illustrate cuteness and become a special attraction for the content, outside of taboo and immoral meanings

This study aims to reveal the problems faced by teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in English classrooms and the problems found by English teachers based on length of teaching and employment status. This study employed mixed methods as the research design. The samples in this study were English teachers who taught in grades 7 and 10 at Sekolah Penggerak batches 1 and 2 in Bengkulu Province. Data collection was conducted using interviews and questionnaires. The questionnaire was made based on Permendikbud Number 16 of 2022 concerning education process standards, which was then validated by experts. The study revealed that the problems English teachers faced in implementing the Merdeka curriculum fell into a fairly difficult category in three aspects: planning, implementing, and assessing the learning process. English teachers most often find problems during the implementation of the learning process, with a percentage of 35% and a weighted mean of 2.48. This could be due to the fact that they are in the switching phase from the 2013 to the Merdeka curriculum, which makes it difficult to adapt to the new curriculum. However, teachers who found fewer problems were those who had taught for more than 10 years and were certified teachers. This might imply that the certification program has had an impact on teachers' quality.

This study's goal is to figure out what kinds of illocutionary speech acts President Joko Widodo used when he talked about firing PPKM in Indonesia. After studying the philosophy of language, J.L. Austin's theory on the speaking acts of language is used as a theoretical foundation. Qualitative or linguistic research methods are used in this method of study. In this research, the way information is gathered is by listening and taking notes. In this study, President Joko Widodo's speech about firing PPKM in Indonesia, which includes illocutionary speech acts, is used as a source of data. This study is based on an address that Joko Widodo posted on Instagram about the end of PPKM in Indonesia. According to the research that has been done, President Joko Widodo talked about the firing of PPKM in Indonesia 22 times in his speech. With 9 utterances, illocutionary expositives made up most of the study's findings. Exercitives came in second with 7 utterances, followed by commissive with 4 and behabilitives with 2.

Fostering Science-themed Reading Comprehension of Elementary Students: The Effect of Digital Simulations and Content and Language Integrated Learning

While integrated learning is not a novel concept, it continues to capture attention. For instance, in elementary schools, merging English content with science is gaining traction. Successful implementation requires innovative media and relevant approaches. This study explores the effect of employing digital simulation media using a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach on sixth-grade students' comprehension of science-themed English texts. This research, employing a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involved 17 elementary school students. They underwent pretest, treatment, and posttest stages, with tests as the main data collection tool, validated and deemed suitable for use. Statistical analysis using the t-test in the SPSS software revealed a p-value of < 0.001, lower than 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. In essence, the use of digital simulation media with a CLIL approach significantly influences students' ability to understand science-themed English texts. Pedagogically, these findings suggest teaching alternatives with the potential to enhance both reading skills and science understanding. The integration of digital simulation media and the CLIL approach adds an engaging dimension to the learning process

Technological, economic, and maritime security system developments align with the demand for English language skills in specialized fields, including English for the Coast Guard. In preparation for professional Coast Guard personnel, the Indonesian Coast Guard (BAKAMLA RI) in Ambon, Maluku, East Indonesia, offers an English for Coast Guard course. This study investigates the needs analysis of Coast Guard personnel who are learning English relevant to their job. The research was conducted using a survey method, gathering data through questionnaires and interviews with commanders and Coast Guard personnel. From the results of the needs analysis, it was determined that Coast Guard personnel require a focus on English language skills and components; vocabulary (88.89%), speaking (83.33% ) and reading (50.00% ) stand out as the highest priority, with an overwhelming of respondents deeming it Very Needed, the frequency of topics related to English for Coast Guard; The crew and Its Task, Port Operations, The Ship, Leaving Port, Heavy Weather, Mayday Mayday, Radio Communication, VTS, Radio Medical , The Engine Room, SMCP, Morning Roll Call. Last is the level of proficiency needed in English for Coast Guard topics. The findings of this study offer recommendations for the development of English language programs tailored to the Indonesian Coast Guard (BAKAMLA RI).

Humans use language to communicate and convey their ideas and feelings, which can be expressed as a song. Through its lyrics, a song expresses a concept or a mood. A song may contain many metaphors with contextual significance in order to portray a mood and emotion. Various people may have diverse interpretations of a song. This implies all types of songs, including Taylor Swift's "Dear John". As a result, the metaphors that are employed in the song will be covered in this research. This song's metaphors will be examined via Ullman's metaphor theory. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This method was selected because it provides the information required to address the research's issues. Regarding the objectives of this study, it was discovered that this song has four metaphors: one synesthetic metaphor, three concrete to abstract metaphors, zero anthropomorphic metaphors, and zero animal metaphors. The purpose of using these metaphors is to help the listeners grasp the depths of emotions the songwriter aimed to portray in the song, in addition to helping the tale in the song be more captivatingly presented.

The objective of this investigation is to determine the educational character value found in Andina Dwifatma's novel, "Lebih Senyap dari Bisikan". The object of this research is the novel Lebih Senyap dari Bisikan by Andina Dwifatma. The method in this study is descriptive qualitative which analyzes the value of educational character in the study of sociology of literature. The data in this study are the sentences in the text of the novel Lebih Senyap dari Bisikan by Andina Dwifatma. Techniques for taking notes and reading are used to analyze data. The study's findings demonstrate that the religious education principles of family values, prayer, sincerity, cooperation, thankfulness, and learning to recite the Quran are among the character education values found in Andina Dwifatma's novel Lebih Senyap dari Bisikan. The values of nationalist education include the values of discipline, protecting the environment, love of the motherland, achievement, and appreciation of the nation's culture. The importance of self-education encompasses the values of bravery, professionalism, and hard effort. The importance of empathy and mutual assistance is part of the education that comes with mutual cooperation. Honesty and accountability are two virtues that education imparts.

This paper aims to review the literature on the effect of postmethod pedagogy implementation in teaching English for second language learner and to show different views from many researchers. Postmethod is the design of the classroom activity and the rules are made by the teacher based on their prior and experimental knowledge and various strategies. Postmethod pedagogy has three-dimensional system with three pedagogic element: particularity, practicality, and possibility. The postmethod pedagogy emerged to respond to the demand for a more optimal way of teaching English free from the method-based restrictions. The paper focuses on applied linguistics in English language teaching and uses a review literature method. The study found that postmethod pedagogy enables pre-service teachers to monitor their teaching process and optimize learners' potential to learn, which affords them. Psychoanalysis can be interpreted as a theory that explains personality changes in a person. The purpose of this research is to analyze the main character’s personality and factors in the Tangled movie. This research uses descriptive qualitative and started by explaining the id, ego, and super-ego theory by Sigmund Freud (1954). The results of the analysis showed that there are 23 pieces of data in this research that include three structural personalities such as id, ego, and super-ego. The researcher found some factors that impact Rapunzel’s personality which are heredity (8), family environment (9), cultural environment (2), and social environment (4) that appears in “Tangled” movie.

How Indonesian Junior High School EFL Textbooks Instill Moral Values? A Critical Discourse Analysis

This study aims to analyze the moral values instilled in the Indonesian Ministry's Junior High School English language teaching book for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students based on Martin & White's (2005) theory of language evaluation, Kress & van Leuween's (2002) theory of visual grammar, Smetana's (2006) theory of the social domain, and Lickona (1991), and the approach of the study using critical discourse analysis. The research investigates the discourse strategies employed in the book to convey moral values and their impact on the target audience, including 1) analyzing the moral messages, 2) evaluating the relevance of moral messages, 3) assessing whether the moral message is effective, and 4) evaluating the effectiveness of moral education in English language textbooks. The limitations in this study are limitations on the data used—only one textbook from the Indonesian Ministry of Education—and this study will not discuss the effectiveness of textbooks in teaching English to EFL students. This research only focuses on analyzing the moral values contained in the textbook. This study contributes to the understanding of the role of moral education in foreign language learning and provides insights for educators in designing language teaching materials that incorporate moral values. The findings of this research will be beneficial for EFL teachers, curriculum developers, and researchers interested in language education and critical discourse analysis.

THE INFLUENCE OF MULTIMEDIA-BASED MOBILE LEARNING MEDIA ON ENGLISH LEARNING OF CLASS VII STUDENTS

This study aims to investigate the effect of using multimedia-based mobile learning media on the English learning outcomes of class VII students. This research was conducted in a junior high school where class VII students were the research subjects. The experimental method is used to measure student learning outcomes before and after carrying out learning using mobile learning media. The research results show that the use of multimedia-based mobile learning media significantly improves student learning outcomes in English. The average student score on the initial test before media use was 65, while on the final test after media use it increased to 88. These results indicate that mobile learning media can be facilitate students' understanding of English material better. Apart from that, mobile learning media also provides visual and interactive support that allow students to understand the material more deeply. The flexibility and accessibility of this medium also allows students to learn at the time and place of their choosing. This is relevant to students' learning preferences in the current digital era. This research has positive implications for the development of English learning methods. Educators can consider using multimedia-based mobile learning media as an effective learning tool to improve students' understanding and learning achievement in English subjects. Further studies can delve deeper into the use of this media in the context of sustainable education. Thus, the results of this research provide an important contribution for understanding the influence of mobile learning media on English language learning and providing guidance for educators to utilize it effectively in the learning process.

This qualitative research explores various effective steps to enhance students' language proficiency through the experiential learning approach. Discussions and reflections are identified as factors that can directly promote students' understanding in line with the principles of experiential learning. The use of movie-based learning utilizing gadgets and social media is also a major highlight. The research emphasizes the importance of critical thinking in enhancing language skills based on movie. Feedback and support from teachers are considered key factors in improving students' literacy. The research results indicate that out of the 20 students involved, 16 experienced a significant improvement in learning outcomes, while the remaining 4 students were already able to engage in experiential learning.

This study is a library research study, The data from books and articles published in scholarly journal. This research found that interlanguage dynamics are influenced by both universal cognitive processes and individual differences. Social interactions and environmental factors also play a significant role in language acquisition. This research emphasizes the adaptability and flexibility of interlanguage, which is the constantly evolving language system of L2 learners. Instead of abruptly transitioning from one stage to another, the learner gradually modifies their interim system. Furthermore, the interaction between interlanguage and the native language has significant implications for language learning and teaching. This emphasizes the need for approaches that are specific to the context. The existing literature on Interlanguage Dynamics provides more information about the process of interlanguage development. This research shows that interlanguage is a dynamic and adaptive system that is influenced by both cognitive processes and external factors.

The main focus of this research was to compare sekolah alam’s concept and the thoughts of Ki Hajar Dewantara in the philosophy of progressive humanism. The urgency of this research was to find similarity and difference between Sekolah alam’s concept and Ki Hajar Dewantara's thoughts in education. The focus of this study was to examine the idiomatic expressions present in Adele's 21 album. The research aimed to identify and analyze the different types of idiomatic expressions used in the album, as well as provide a semantic analysis of these expressions. The main objective was to gain a better understanding of the types of idiomatic expressions and their meanings in Adele's 21. The study utilized the Makkai theory, which focuses on English idioms in the album. The data was collected by reading, identifying, analyzing, and interpreting the phrases, words, and collocations found in the songs. The data was then analyzed using Makkai's theories to identify any issues in the analysis. The study found a total of 31 idioms in the songs, which were classified into four types of idioms offered by Makkai, including six phrasal verb idioms, one phrasal compound idiom, and no tournure or incorporating idioms. The semantic analysis revealed that the 31 idioms corresponded to five types of meaning found in Adele's 21 album, according to Leech's theory.

Project-Based Language Learning (PBLL) offers a transformative learning experience to involve language learners in real-world issues of the target language achieved by creating products that serve a genuine purpose. Therefore, instructional design framework of PBLL for English as A Foreign Language (EFL) students in higher education is crucial. In addition, they must also acknowledge PBLL as it is a mandatory based on OECD (2016). As a results, this study aims to investigate the implementation of PBLL for EFL students for the instructional design framework of PBLL use enhancement. To accomplish this aim, a systematic literature review (SLR) was employed by extracting from the SCOPUS database as publications on international practices. In total, 24 documents from the last five years (2018–2023) were included by PRISMA Analysis for the data selection, Mendeley reference manager for the data extraction and VosViewer software application for the data analysis. The findings indicate that PBLL comprises Discovery Learning (DL), Cooperative Learning (CL), and Reflective Learning (RL). It includes the benefits of training, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration (in groups), and student motivation in learning, which are attributes that are shared by several of the learning models that are applied in ELF learning. Specifically, ELF learning utilizes cooperative learning, cooperative problem solving, cooperative problem solving in groups, and cooperative problem solving individually. Additional research is required to effectively develop learning designs based on this framework. It contributes to the existing literature by providing an understanding of the evolution of PBLL research topics in EFL.

For students, studying English as a foreign language is a challenge. Students' achievement while learning English is influenced by effective language learning strategies, particularly when it comes to writing. Students benefit from direct strategies since they help in the storing and retrieval of knowledge. The aim of this study is to identify the different types of direct language learning strategies that English language education students use when writing analytical exposition texts, as well as the extent to which these strategies are applied. This study is qualitative research. Data were gathered via interviews and questionnaires. There are three different strategies categorized. Based on Oxford (1990) classified direct strategies into three categories: memory, cognitive, and compensatory. These strategies are applied directly. The second-year English Education Department students of Bung Hatta University in Padang are the focus of this study. There were 28 students involved in this research. The findings demonstrated that most students used memory strategies. The majority of the time, the students employed memory strategies to commit terms from analytical exposition texts to memory. The compensation strategies that are classified as often utilized come next. In order to keep creating analytical exposition texts, students employ compensatory strategies. They swap out challenging terms for synonyms or more comparable ones. The next kind of cognitive strategies are those that are utilized sometimes. This study aims to overcome the problem of the quality of Indonesian language learning outcomes in poetry text material at the SMP/MTs level as a recovery for learning loss and the limitations of teaching materials that are easily accessible outside the classroom. Learning poetry text material can encourage students to express thoughts, feelings and ideas through language that is beautiful, rhythmic, has literary values and politeness. The development of digital teaching materials for Poetry Texts in SMP/MTs is very important because at the age of teenagers like them, the ability to express ideas, thoughts and feelings is directed at developing creativity. Teaching materials that are developed based on the creative process as carried out by poets or the poet's experience will be able to encourage students to develop the skills to express their ideas, feelings and thoughts into poetry well. The research method used is research and development. This research started from a study of the need for digital teaching materials for poetry texts that can be presented through online learning. From a study of Indonesian language teachers at junior high school and MTs levels in Cirebon Regency, it is known that 97% of teachers need teaching materials that can develop students' creative abilities, because 93% of them experience difficulties in guiding students to produce poetry containing ideas, feelings and opinion by paying attention to the building blocks of poetry. Next, an analysis of research results was carried out regarding the creative process carried out by poets, namely (1) absorbing information; (2) processing and persevering; (3) get or produce creative ideas; (4) reflect creative ideas into the work; (5) carry out elaboration. The next stage is to develop digital poetry text teaching materials for SMP/MTs based on a creative process. From the results of expert validation, it is known that the digital teaching material 'Poetic Text Based on the Creative Process' is suitable for use. Based on extensive trials in 129 schools in Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, Majalengka, Kuningan and Indramayu, it is known that the digital poetry text teaching material model for SMP/MTs which was developed based on a creative process is effective in achieving learning outcomes.

The knowledge base of teaching involves the ability to select, use, and design teaching materials. This knowledge is fundamental for successful instruction. There is an increasing number of studies investigating instructional materials development for English language teaching (ELT), thus providing an opportunity for a systematic review of how the development of ELT materials can affect English language teaching and learning (ELTL) and how the materials are developed. Therefore, this systematic review focuses on the theories and practices of instructional material development in ELTL. Recent studies published between 2018 and April 2023 on related topics identified in three databases were reviewed, analyzed, and synthesized. The Prisma method was used for the inclusion, exclusion, and extraction of the articles. A total of 16 articles were analyzed based on two criteria, namely the development of ELTL materials and the aspects affecting English language learning (ELL). The results suggest and assist in-service teachers in developing their ELTL materials grounded in theory.

Based on overall mean is 4.23 and standard deviation is 0.81. The respondents agree used it in learning process. It means that the students were agree by using book creator as media trends in audio visual form in English learning.

But research has shown that the communicative English skills of Indonesian school graduates remain low. In order to improve students' communicative abilities in Indonesia more quickly, this conceptual review paper seeks to highlight the viability of the CBLT and TBLT approach. In this literature study method, researchers looking for data or information related to the potential benefits, enhance the function, efficacy, and significance of CBLT and TBLT in language learning environments by refining language teaching methodologies and the processes involved in learning a second language. The results of this research provide the information from some previous study of CBLT and TBLT in improving students' English Skill. The conclusion from this research is that the learning process have a positive perception of the use of CBLT and TBLT approach in learning English. It has many benefits to support students’ learning process because CBLT and TBLT approach encourages intrinsic motivation in students, encourages natural learning, and helps them build language skills that can help them become more proficient communicators more quickly.

Mechatronic Teaching Aids for the Development of Early Childhood Pragmatics

Through the application of Information and Education Technology, particularly Mechatronic teaching tools, this research aims to identify the pragmatic development of young children. The CAR (Classroom Action Research) method was used to determine the percentage rate of early childhood pragmatic development. The analytical technique used is observation and documentation, which is then analyzed quantitatively. This study included 20 children (5-6 years old) from TK Labor FKIP of Riau University. The use of mechatronic teaching aids was successful in developing pragmatics in early childhood, as evidenced by 44.64% results in the Starting to Develop category, 52.98% results in the Developing According to Expectations category, and 72.02% results in Developing Very Well. It can be demonstrated that the seven observed indicators can be stimulated adequately so that children's pragmatic development can develop very well.
